This resource has been designed to practise reading and writing x8 simple sentences to identify and make corrections to each one. Every sentence has x3 errors to correct. Two answer pages are included in the same format, making every error made clear. Answers could be used by learners to cross-check their sentences, promoting autonomy. Who’s it for? This resource is aimed at learners who are learning Phase 5 phonics, this may be learners in Reception, years one and two as well as older students needing additional learning support. What’s it for? These colours have been designed to install and sense of awe and wonder - the coloured shapes look beautiful when the sun shines through them and where the colour ‘falls’ depends on the position of the colours in relation to the sun which changes as the sun’s position changes. The set gives an opportunity to showcase the whole set of colours together as a focus to encourage learners to recognise and name each colour. What’s it for? This resource has been designed to enable learners to practise handwriting the fifth set for phase 3 phonics letters - ear, air, ure, er (this is the last/ninth set in the ‘phonics handwriting set’ - which begins with phase 2 sounds). Learners are guided where to write with a starting dot and grey letter shape to follow. The four different sheets vary in level of support and challenge provided making it easy for adults to select just the right level to match each learners ability.
