This is part of an exciting scheme of work aimed at KS3 that looks at the role of castles in Britain while also looking at Knights, Life in Castles and Heraldry. I have also uploaded the entire lessons pack and there are a total of NINE lessons included. This can be found on my shop and includes: Lesson 1 & 2 - How did the first castles develop? Lesson 3 & 4 - How do you attack and defend a castle? Lesson 5 - What was life like in a castle? Lesson 6 & 7- What was life as a Knight like? Lesson 8 & 9 - Heraldry & Foreign Castles. In this lesson, students together explore the nature of jobs in a typical Medieval Castle in groups. This was originally taught as a 50 minute lesson. This lesson includes all resources, differentiation, resources and scaffolding.

It builds on students literacy skills, includes scaffolding/differentiation and includes all of the resources needed. Any questions, do let me know!
