Lesson 2: The light-dependent reaction.
Lesson 3: The light-independent reaction.
Lesson 4: Limiting factors.
A blank template ‘lesson objectives’ slide is included at the end of the Powerpoint if you need to rearrange the slides to suit lesson timings at your school.
A blank template slide for you to add a homework task is also included at the end of the Powerpoint.
Available in both PowerPoint and PDF formats.

If you have any problems at all with this resource, please email teachandlearnstem@gmail.com and I will rectify ASAP (contacting me directly is faster than leaving your message in a review because reviews take some time to become visible to the author).
Worksheet summarising the process of lipid digestion & absorption for AQA A-level Biology. This is one of the more challenging Year 12 topics, so my students have found it really helpful to have the full process summarised on one sheet.
My students love completing these visually appealing worksheets, which break topics down into manageable chunks. Clean, black-and-white diagrams are ready for students to annotate and colour – an easy way to promote active engagement and aid memory retention through visual learning. Perfect for independent study, homework, revision lessons, or as part of a retrieval practice.
Differentiated versions are included :
A blank recall version for confident students to test and stretch their understanding.
A scaffolded gap-fill version to support those who need a little more guidance.
A full answer sheet is included, which can be used as a handout (both black and white & coloured versions are included).
Download includes 1 worksheet covering the different modes of action of steroid hormones (using oestrogen as an example) and peptide hormones (using glucagon as an example).

Download includes 3 worksheets:
First worksheet gives an overview of a ‘general’ ELISA test (which is actually an indirect ELISA), which is the version in the AQA textbook, along with a few commonly asked questions.
The second worksheet consists of diagrams showing a positive and negative result for a ‘sandwich’ ELISA which often features in exam questions (detecting prostate-specific antigen in a blood sample).
The third worksheet consists of diagrams showing a positive and negative result for a specific example of an indirect ELISA example which often features in exam questions (detecting HIV antibodies in a sample).
Students wouldn’t actually be expected to know the specific names for the different types of ELISA tests, these worksheets are just to provide practice at interpreting what’s going on in different permutations of the test.
Worksheets have black and white diagrams (so students can colour them in) with space for students to annotate each step in the process.
Fully completed sheets are included (black and white & a coloured version which I use for teaching the topic).

AQA GCSE required practical revision notes/sheets covering all 21 required practicals for Combined Science/Trilogy (higher tier).
Despite being worth 15% of the marks, so many students don’t allocate specific revision time to the required practicals. I designed these sheets for my own students to encourage specific revision of the practicals and have seen a great improvement in practical knowledge and the ability to answer practical-based questions.
Each sheet includes an example method and (where relevant) exam-style questions and model answers.
The model answers for the exam-style questions have been written based on previous mark schemes, but I cannot guarantee that future mark schemes will be exactly the same. The model answers are for guidance only. Students should be encouraged to use these sheets as a starting point and update/annotate them with any further information as needed.
Please note that I can accept no responsibility for your final exam grade should you choose to use these revision resources. These resources are intended to help students actively revise, but students should be aware that a high proportion of the marks in your exams are AO2 and AO3 marks and students should therefore use a variety of resources and techniques in preparation for all of the question styles that will be encountered in the exam. Whilst these resources have been written with past mark schemes in mind, there is no guarantee that future mark schemes will be the same.

I generally use these with Year 7s, but I have also used them with GCSE foundation students (also great activity for cover work).
Difficulty gradually increases.
Answer sheets included.
Worksheet 1: Bar chart, 1cm graph paper, plotting whole numbers ( values up to 10 on y-axis).
Worksheet 2: Line graph, 1cm graph paper, plotting whole numbers (values up to 10 on y-axis).
Worksheet 3: Bar graph, 1cm graph paper, whole numbers (values up to 100 on y-axis).
Worksheet 4: Line graph, 1cm graph paper, whole numbers (values up to 100 on y-axis).
Worksheet 5: Bar chart, 1mm graph paper, plotting values to 1 decimal place.
Worksheet 6: Line graph, 1mm graph paper, plotting values to 1 decimal place.
Three worksheets designed for students to practice interpretation of p-values, writing a null hypothesis & selecting an appropriate statistical test (with a reason) and writing a conclusion based on selection of and interpretation of a critical value.
FULL ANSWERS are included in the download. Wording of answers is based on past mark schemes wherever possible. If you disagree with any of the answers, please email me at teachsecondaryscience@gmail.com and changes will be made if needed.
I use worksheet 1 and 2 in lessons, with students talking through the correct answers for revision (or they could complete the worksheet as homework on lined paper, these two worksheets don’t include answer spaces).
The third worksheet is useful as a homework task in the run-up to the A-level exams & includes answer spaces.
Worksheet 1: 10 questions
Example question = A study investigates the effect of a new antibiotic on bacterial growth. The researchers calculate a p-value of 0.03. What can the researchers conclude about the effectiveness of the antibiotic?
Worksheet 2: 8 questions
For each scenario, students must write a null hypothesis, select a statistical test and give a reason as to why that test is appropriate.
Worksheet 3: Three page worksheet consisting of 3 multi-part questions.
The main focus of this worksheet is for students to practice selecting the right critical value from part of a critical value table & then coming to a conclusion based on whether the calculated value is greater than or less than the critical value.
**PLEASE NOTE this resource DOES NOT include any questions which require students to perform calculations using statistical tests. **
Brief summary/consolidation activity covering primary & accessory pigments (and their role in light-harvesting systems).
Includes:
A gap-fill worksheet with 2 exam-style questions, which is suitable as a quick homework or revision task [full answer sheet is included].
A separate A4 sheet with a plain copy of the diagram in the centre, incase you would rather have your students annotate the diagram during a lesson instead.
Contains >1000 flashcards on Modules 1-6, plus A4 revision sheets for each of the PAGs.
