I have been using these 6 activities in KS3 for several years now and they work very well, they are one hour long approximately. They can also be performed as demonstrations.
Heart and lung dissection
Burning Candles
Measuring cardiac output - this practical does not require a lab and could also be conducted in an online lesson.
Respiration in Yeast
Proper use of the microscope.
Growing bacteria: this is one of my favourites because they enjoy it a lot.
Check the slides’ notes for some extra info.
