It follows Cambridge syllabus (9700) but it is easily adaptable to others.
The topic is divided in 8 parts:
- Intro: mitosis and chromosomes refresh
- Homologous chromosomes.
- 2 types of nuclear division
- Meiosis
- Genetics: includes monohybrid, dihybrid, test cross, sex and autosomal linkage, chi-square.
- Mutation: includes sickle cell anaemia, albinism, huntington disease and haemophilia.
- Gene control in prokaryotes: including LAC operon as example.
- Gene control in eukaryotes: including gibberellin and amylase transcription as example.
There are two extra power points: - Examples of genetic problems: all the genetic problems from the main power point in one document to practise them alone.
- Meiosis template for printing.
