A 60+ page booklet with detailed teacher notes relating to the Edexcel A Level unit: Germany, 1871-1990. Please note that (as many schools will be doing), the first Depth topic (Germany 1871-1914) will be covered by another teacher for coursework, therefore this resource only covers the period from c.1914-1990. These notes have been taken from a variety of textbooks and history books; they are the perfect aid for teaching this unit or could be used to supplement existing knowledge. The knowledge and content here can be easily adapted to suit other exam boards.

A selection of exam questions based on the four chapters/sections of the Hodder Restoration England GCSE from AQA. Resources relating to the AQA 9-1 GCSE Option ‘Conflict & Tension: 1918-1939’. Included is 2-3 lessons’ worth of activities tackling the Hitler’s foreign policy before 1936 (aims, the Saar, the Rhineland, etc.) The PowerPoint includes teaching information, copies of the worksheets, sources and videos (where relevant). There are also practice exam questions included in the slide (usually 1-2 per topic). This is part of a larger bundle covering the entire unit, which can be purchased from my shop. This resource was originally designed for OneNote teaching; however, it can easily be adapted to exercise book teaching in under 5mins. A full week/two weeks of resources for teaching the The Age of Enlightenment and its impact on world revolutions to Britain to Year 9 (could also be adapted for a more-able Year 8 class, if pursuing a three-year GCSE course). This is part of a wider ‘World Revolutions’ topic (other lesson packs on the French and American Revolutions available on my shop!) Included is a lesson pack covering this aspect of the ‘World Revolutions’ unit. Each lesson pack includes a PowerPoint (with integrated videos, worksheet screenshots and activities), individual worksheets and contemporary sources (where required) These resources were originally designed for paperless teaching on OneNote; however, it will work perfectly for exercise book teaching (simply replace ‘on OneNote’ with ‘in your exercise books’ on the slides).

The display consists of several heads of historical figures in a line across the board; however, each head is positioned at the actual height they would have stood (5ft 5in, 6ft 2in etc.) Students love walking past and measuring themselves against Hitler, Queen Victoria etc. Included are several Historical heads, the names/heights, titles and a key for the side of the display. All that is needed are coloured strips that run vertically from the bottom of the display to the relevant head (see link). I used the coloured border rolls for these! Enjoy!

Resources relating to the Great Reform Act of 1832. These can be used as part of a wider unit of work on electoral reform (perhaps leading in to women's suffrage?) Included is a summary of the Great Reform Act; a task where pupils have to differentiate between the voting systems of 1830 and 1835; and a PowerPoint presentation for the lesson. Also referenced are two political cartoons that show a for/against view of reform. These should be printed out and distributed for pupils to analyse during the lesson. This is a great introduction to political cartoons, which are used extensively at GCSE.

Handouts and timelines relating to the 1917 Revolution in Russia. Material covers the February Revolution, Kornilov Affair, Provisional Government and the October Revolution. This would be suitable for all A Level candidates studying the Russian Revolution across all exam boards. Please rate and comment, as all feedback is appreciated.

Various handouts and activity sheets on the 1905 Revolution in Russia. Also included are materials on the October Manifesto and various opposition groups. These materials are useful for A Level students studying the Russian Revolution and/or Tsarist Russia. This is relevant for all exam boards. Please rate and comment, as all feedback is appreciated.

A Level Later Tudors Scheme of Work for OCR. Included is a breakdown of the course into relevant thematic sections, along with learning outcomes and possible activities. The activities/resources mentioned can all be found in my TES shop in the 'Later Tudors' bundle.

Based around two units from a Year 8 SOW focusing on the 16th and 17th centuries (this can be found in my shop). Students are given a range of 1 mark knowledge questions on dates/names/events/definitions associated with the Tudors, English Reformation and the Spanish Armada. This form of assessment would be in addition to knowledge and source essays to practise the skills required for GCSE. Also included is a sheet with answers to all of the questions. The test is 35 questions long (35 marks).

This resource is relevant to the new AQA GCSE specification on Restoration England, 1660-1685; however, it could be adapted for KS3 or A Level. This worksheet would be ideal as an early homework task to encourage students' research skills. Pupils are presented with 3 of Charles's mistresses and must put together a summary of their titles, influence, characteristics etc. More able students may even be able to put the affair into context, explaining why it was so significant or shocking. Two activities to run alongside the OCR or Edexcel Textbooks on the witch craze. This is designed specifically for the A Level Topic: Popular Culture and the Witchcraze of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries from OCR. Students can read the text book (and read around the topic), adding detail to their family tree. What were the relationships? Who were the characters? What happened to each of the accused witches? They can also fill in the timeline using the information from the text book and other sources. This resource is intended to supplement other resources on the Lancashire Witch Trials.

A handout on the Northern Rebellion and a map that plots the route taken by the rebels. This is useful material for all students covering the Later Tudor period and Elizabeth I, for instance the Triumph of Elizabeth AQA module. Please rate and comment, as all feedback is appreciated.

Source assessment on the murder of Thomas Becket. Quite challenging for Yr 7 pupils, so I would recommend going through one/two sources in class using the Analysis/Evaluation template. Included is the set of 4 sources, a template and a marking grid (that can be adapted to various other assessments). This can be easily differentiated by offering fewer sources or adding more descriptions to the sources.
