KS3 - French - reading and writing activities (Allez 1 textbook)

(1)
More than 40 reading tasks with answers, 8 writing tasks with model answers. Resources suitable for KS3 classes. (I use them for my Y7 and Y8 classes). There is a clear progression between reading activities as I have made sure to recycle on a regular basis main grammar concepts seen in previous lessons. Each reading task is composed of : a match up activity / vocabulary search / grammar activity (focusing on 1, 2 or 3 grammar concepts) / exam style questions / a translation into FR or EN (plenary) to check pupils’ understanding of the grammar concepts introduced in the activities). Answers are always provided For each unit, there is a “revision” worksheet to go back to grammar concepts seen in the unit (True/false activities). There is also a more challenging reading tasks available to them with exam style questions. For each unit, there’s a also a “writing” worksheet. Pupils’ understanding of grammar concepts seen in the unit is tested through translation activities. I recommend marking them in class before allowing pupils to start their writing. There is a model answer provided for each writing task. I usually use it for my weaker students. There’s also a small bank of vocabulary available to stretch most able students (usually with some GCSE A*/Grade 8-9 structures). Should you have any questions or should you spot anything wrong, do not hesitate to contact me on my Facebook Page (Parlezvousfrançais, link available in my profile) I hope this helps. French GCSE listening media

(0)
French GCSE listening worksheet. Listening revision. Listening practice. This worksheet focuses on the media topic (my phone). It includes a variety of activities that are all scaffolded to lead towards an exam style question. Matching-up activity :vocabulary extracted from the listening transcript. This should be done before playing the listening. This will help your students brainstorm vocabulary and focus on key words they need to be wary of, whilst working on the listening recording. True false activity: sentences include synonyms of words from the transcript to help students focus on the meaning of the whole sentences. Complete sentences : iGCSE exam style question. This activity usually uses synonyms instead of words extracted from the transcript. Fill in the gaps - transcript : This could be given to weaker students to do the matching-up activity or used as a plenary. Answers are provided to make your life easier These worksheets are made for IGCSE classes but can easily be tweaked for AQA and EDEXCEL GCSE classes. Technology in everyday life, Identity and culture, The world around us, the media, television

French - GCSE - Speaking practice - board-game - past & future tenses - revision

/teaching-resource/french-gcse-speaking-practice-board-game-end-of-year-questions-revision-12082694 Made a board game for my Y11 to revise past & future tenses only. It comes with grammar help (time phrases, some A* structure, verbs conjugated with “je” and a list of adjectives). I have used it to help students remember that : For conditional with “Je” - they only need to add an “s” to the future tense verbs. For the past tense, 90% of the time we need an “é” sound (pronunciation) For the future tense, 100% there is a “r” sound. For the near future, it is 100% regular.
