This resource follows the AQA GCSE Biology specification for mitosis and meiosis as part of Biology paper 2 (Inheritance, Variation, and Evolution unit) and is suitable for combined and triple (separate) science higher and foundation tiers. The lesson contains all key content from this specification carefully condensed, with assessment for learning using GCSE multiple choice questions throughout to check for understanding and independent GCSE questions to increase learner agency. All questions have answers in the notes section to support teachers less confident in certain areas. This is an effective revision resource for students to take home with them to consolidate the majority of the entire HT forces module. This resource bundle contains a booklet working through all of the Physics Paper 2 Required Practicals (Elasticity in springs, acceleration, waves, and infrared), with a powerpoint presentation to accompany. This session (~2-3 hours) can be delivered in several ways including, but not limited to, teacher-led demonstration and students answering questions in the booklet individually, or student-led practical inquiry and collaborative exam application. This layout is particularly strong in developing students working scientifically skills, with exam application throughout to ensure the time is productive at developing their ability to translate what they are doing to an exam setting. Answers to all GCSE questions are embedded within the powerpoint presentation to support teachers. Students respond very will to this set up, and value knowing exactly what is required of them in each discipline.
