The culmination of this series, students are given free reign to seperate out iron filings, salt, sand and pebbles, to increase the challenge you can add wood chippings and for super high ability vegetable oil. Every year and sometimes every term you get at least 5 kids piping up demanding elephants toothpaste, they've all seen it in youtube and now they want it first hand, hey, who can argue with the demand. This lesson takes that high demand practical and makes them earn it, first to complete one task and correctly answer whatever question about catalysts earns the soap, the second might earn the catalyst, the third the conical flask...
