This product includes activities to help students learn to read and write fractions (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 2/3, 3/4, 3/5, and 4/5) using both symbols and words. Flashcards and worksheets are included. These activities align with Oklahoma academic standard 3.N.3.1.

This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard 2.N.1.5, in which students will round to the nearest ten and nearest hundred. Two sheets have been provided to teach the lesson. The first is a chart with numbers 1-100. The numbers are color-coded to match the nearest ten it rounds to. A second sheet is provided with three-digit numbers for you to explain rounding numbers to the nearest hundred. A worksheet and answer key are provided.

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to make predictions based on visual graphs. This packet includes a variety of visual graphs and a short description of what each graph represents. Students will be asked to make a prediction of what will happen next according to the graph, which allows them to use critical thinking skills as they develop graph interpretation skills. The correct prediction is included in the answer key.

This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard 2.A.1.1, in which students will create, represent, describe, complete, and extend patterns based on real-world problems. The learning sheets include patterns labeled as AB, ABC, AAB, and AABB as examples. They will also have patterns to finish as a class. A worksheet has been provided with patterns to identify as AB, ABC, AAB, and AABB and complete other patterns to create when given a pattern type.

This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard 2.GM.3.1, in which students will tell time to the quarter hour on both an analog and digital clock. Matching cards and a worksheet is included. The matching cards can be used as a math center or whole class activity.

This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard 2.D.1.3, in which students will use pictographs and bar graphs to solve basic addition and subtraction word problems. A pictograph and bar graph has been provided along with a set of word problems.

This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standards 2.D.1.1 and 2.D.1.2, in which students will make bar graphs and pictographs with collected data with four categories using intervals of 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s and recognize that the length in a bar graph and pictures in pictographs represent an amount. Use the graphs provided to answer the given questions. Count the number of pictures by the given interval and ask students which category has the most and how many are in each category. Making graphs as a class and asking similar questions is encouraged. Templates with smaller intervals are provided to make graphs as a class along with discussion questions.

This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard 2.D.1.4, in which students will draw conclusions and make predictions based on a graph. Use the two graphs and discussion questions provided to lead a classwide discussion.
