Activities to practice the preterite: Odd-one-out. Tacos. In pairs/groups students have the verbs in the middle and the teacher says a verb in English, they have to highlighted. Use different colours to count the points at the end. Listening and speaking activity. The student with the word START says the first verb in Spanish (example ´comí), the partner needs to find the translation and next to it there is a different verb in Spanish, they read it out and the partner finds the translation.
