    • This completely animated PowerPoint works through the four transformations with examples to help visually. I used one part per lesson along with Tristanjones worksheets (they are amazing). It could also be used to as a quick revision run through.

      Includes:
      Reflection, (standard and diagonal)
Order of rotation, Center of rotation, Degrees of rotation,
      Vectors, Translation,
Enlargement with and without a center of enlargement, Fractional enlargement, Negative enlargement.

The front page is hyperlinked to the different transformations and then each back to the pain page.
All animations works of the click of a mouse.

    Practice questions, homeworks and assessments

    • PRINT each docyment IN A BOOKLET FORMAT 2 KS3 / GCSE worksheets activities. PAGES PER PAGE, so it fits onto 1 sheet of paper. This is a spot the mistake activity where students have to mark the work of a fictional character 'Stephen'. Students can work in pairs and mark the work of Stephen and if Stephen makes a mistake point out his mistake. A good AfL question and possible exam revision booklet. Pupils should be given a red pen for this activity for them to really get into the role of the teacher. Enlargement, rotation, reflection.

    • You'll like this one and so will your students. It might be easier to explain this with the resource on your IWB. Start with the shape or letter given in the first column, if a vector is given you must translate that shape, if a line is given then it must be reflected. The destination of each transformation will be a letter. Write this down. Get students to work down the columns to avoid them predicting what the answer is. When they finish reading across it should read WHAT DO YOU CALL A JUDGE WITH NO THUMBS JUSTICE FINGERS Silly I know but fun all the same.

Thank you for planning my year 10 lesson! Another excellent thought-provoking resource.

This is just what I needed for my bright TEar 11s to understand the concept of invariance. The only way to make it even better would be to have an answer sheet. Thanks!
