GCSE double lesson with all accompanying resources based on the AQA Religious Studies A course, Christian Beliefs unit. Lesson nine. This lesson covers key information about the role of Christ in salvation.
All resources have been updated in August 2025 in line with new AQA guidelines (6 mark questions, new question wordings etc.) Included in this resource:

- A differentiated wordsearch ‘do it now’ task to start the lesson (and re-cap prior learning)
- Links to a video clips to help students build their knowledge
- Details on 2 different views of Christ’s role in salvation - one from Evangelical Protestant Christians and one from the Orthodox tradition. Discussion and written tasks with idea prompts and key scriptures to help students develop their comprehension and evaluation
- A 6 mark model answer with animated annotations to display on screen, to assist students in self marking
- A full set of model answers, updated to new exam styles and wordings
- Guidance and scaffolding to help students consider and construct their responses to a 12 mark question, with an alternative gap fill task for lower ability students
