This is a scheme of work which takes students through The Merchant’s Tale by Chaucer. Included are breakdowns of the whole text with annotations and a full text to allow students to annotate as we work through each slide. In addition, there is a translated version of the text into modern English to support understanding of language.
Also included are critical quotations to support A05 . I taught this having taught A Doll’s House as a comparative text, so there are some links to this throughout the scheme; however, this can be adapted to teach in comparison to other texts on the OCR syllabus.
