Job Title:          School Administrator

Location:        Falkland House School, Falkland KY15 7AE

Salary:           £12,080.00 per annum

Hours:           21 hours per week

Rota:                 Tuesday - Wednesday 8.30am-4.30pm, Friday 8.30am-1.30pm

Contract:       Permanent, Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a School Administrator to join our close-knit team at Falkland House School, part of Options Autism.

Purpose of the Role

• To lead on the provision of effective administration and personnel systems for the school.
• Provide administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the school, liaising with relevant colleagues to maintain systems which facilitate effective financial controls.
• Ensure all stakeholders benefit from high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective and efficient secretarial, administrative and clerical services to the school, SLT team and other staff by arrangement.
• Welcome visitors in a professional and hospitable manner, ensuring signing-in procedures are followed, and providing refreshments as required.
• Ensure appropriate standards of tidiness and order in the reception area(s) so as to project a professional and welcoming environment for students, stakeholders and other visitors to the school.
• Receive and prioritise incoming telephone calls and deal with them appropriately including recording and distributing messages as required.
• Manage and administer petty cash, wages.
• Order stationery, consumables and other supplies.

About Us

Falkland House School is an independent residential and day school for boys from primary to aged 18 years. Our pupils have a range of additional support needs, primarily Autistic Spectrum Condition. We were the first independent school in Scotland (outside of the NAS) to receive accreditation from the National Autistic Society. All of our pupils are able to access a mainstream curriculum, but not in a mainstream environment. 

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
