The Head of Junior School reports directly to the Headmaster and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Junior School, which comprises the Pre-Prep and Prep Schools. (S)he contributes to the strategic leadership of the whole school, maintaining a high profile throughout the St. Paul’s community, fostering strong relationships to promote excellence in the quality of education and pastoral care provided, and working with the Headmaster to sustain and enhance the reputation of the School.
The School warmly welcomes applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, however applications are particularly encouraged from candidates with significant senior leadership experience of a Junior or Prep setting gained in a British-based international school or leading UK-based prep or primary school. The successful candidate will be an engaging and inspiring educator who shares the progressive and child-centred approach which is now well-embedded in the Junior School at St. Paul’s. This person must be highly team-orientated with a natural inclination to empower and develop others, able to work collaboratively on the whole-school Executive and be comfortable managing a wide range of stakeholders.
