EDUQAS GCSE MEDIA STUDIES STARTERS PUPIL BOOKLET
30 starter activities, largely based around Component 1, media language and theory.
Example tasks: match-ups, wordsearches, labelling, media language alphabet, true or false, quiz etc.
Last 5 pages have generic recall grids, again used as starters to test pupils’ short and long term knowledge of the set texts.
I use the booklet with year 10, as ‘silent’ starters.
