Standard form lesson used for OFSTED received great feedback and lesson rated outstanding. Included Powerpoint with notes, quick questions and answers , sorting activity and success criteria ladder. Also includes GCSE exam questions and and answers ( i set this as homework, but would be greaa to use in class) Students enjoyed the lesson and really started to not only understanding how to answer exam questions but the purpose of why standard form exist.

This resources was created aiming at Year 6 and Year 7 pupils as the topics covered are all key aims for primary school children . The garden contains lots of different questions and skills challenging pupils to problem solve. This is a great transition activity and in groups pupils normally mange to achieve a lot in a lesson and really enjoy it! Also Great for end of term KS3 - its great for pupils to recap key skills.

This is a full1/2 lessons on Differenation from first Principle for AS Level Maths covering all that is needed for exams. I didnt want to just tell my students to follow a method, I wanted them to learn were it comes from too. Covers : Starter - Drawing a quadratic graph and finding the gradient of a tangent Discussion Prompts - Students realise this inaccurate because everyone has slightly different answers Students find the gradient of secants instead realising this is more accurate. Worksheet and answers provided on this. Applied to gradient at a specific point question ( algebra only) Generalise to the formula Worked examples of how to apply the formula method. The Lesson provides examples and exercises with all topics. Everything is on the powerpoint including answers. you will not need to print extra resources. Powerpoint is fully animated.
