Agamographs provide a fun unique way of viewing art. My students are fascinated and get so excited with this art idea. This resource is a hands-on Back to School themed activity (featuring 8 school subjects) that combines two separate images into one are piece, which the viewer can then see – from different angles - each picture independently. This activity involves coloring-in, cutting, gluing and folding. You will require; coloring-in materials (pencils, felts, etc), scissors, glue-sticks. This resource has 8 Back to School subject themed images (Art, Literacy, Maths, Music, Science, Social Studies, Sports and Technology), paired into all combinations (28), to put together and create the agamograph. This resource is excellent for creating a quick piece art to display. This also can give you an insight to your students’ favorite or best subjects at school! There are two levels of challenge; the final image is composed of 8 strips (4 strips for one School subject image and 4 strips for the other), suitable for younger students the final image is composed of 16 strips (8 strips for one School subject image and 8 strips for the other) I have also included blank templates for students to create their own two images to combine.

Here is a fun, engaging STEM activity that employs the 21st Century learning skills of Cooperation and Creativity. Students are tasked with designing and creating a marble maze. They are required to map out a marble maze in their design plan and then create their design out of card and matchsticks. This resource can be stratified for different age groups and capabilities. Those requiring more guidance may want to use the pre-drawn maze design. Then there is the Map Design Planning Sheet (with two grids in case students need to start again) allowing students to create their own maze. Finally any student may wish to add the extra challenges. This resource to allows students to simply concentrate on either just ‘minutes past’ or just ‘minutes to’. Each worksheet here only focusses on one at a time. This resource is for those students who have mastered telling the time to the hour, half hour, quarter to, quarter past and probably to the nearest 5 minutes. The fourth involves the idea here is rotating two shapes around a point - one shape does a half turn, the other shape does a quarter turn. An Advent Calendar that promotes thinking of others. Instead of finding a gift for oneself behind the door of each day in this calendar behind each door is an act of kindness for the student to perform. Although it can be made in one extended session of work allow your class two or three sessions to make this a high presentation advent calendar that each student can take home and use. Students will choose a front image to cut doors into. Using the doors they then stencil the location for the acts of kindness on to a backing sheet. After writing in their acts of kindness the two sheets are glued together to form an Advent calendar. This is a resource to introduce young students to the world of coding. Coding is an essential skill in the digital curriculum for 21st Century learners. Coding is the ability to create instructions that allow a set of actions to be carried out. This resource gives an opportunity to expose early elementary students to the world of coding with the format used in the user friendly coding app Scratch Jr. The resource doesn’t require a device or access to the internet. Students can cut and past the missing pieces of code into a blank box sequence to achieve the desired outcome on the worksheet. There are two ways this resource can be used; As a cut and paste worksheet. There are 4 different coding worksheets, with answers. As a reusable independent learning center activity. There are 4 activity cards and a set of ‘coding blocks’ to cut out and laminate. These can all be kept in a tray or container and the students can then take the activity and work with it. This resource comes with; Four worksheets of simple coding. The four increase in challenge. I have made this resource to help begin meet the needs of our 21st Century learners. This activity focuses on coding. However it can equally be seen as a sequencing activity, a problem solving activity or a positional maths activity. This is an introductory activity to using coding. It doesn’t require the use of a device or access to the internet. This resource allows for open-ended play and exploration. Students can place their characters anywhere on the maze board and ‘code’ instructions to move their character to different locations on the maze (without travelling through the maze walls. The resource can also be used as a form of game play or to challenge each other to move to or away from certain locations. Suggestions for this are provided. This resource has 7 Summer themed images (‘Summer’ and sun, Ice Cream Vendor, Beach Ball, Ice Cream and Watermelon, Shells and Starfish, Beach Scene, and Grasshopper) to put together and create the agamograph. This resource has all the combination pairs (21). There are two levels of challenge; the final image is composed of 8 strips (4 strips for one Summer image and 4 strips for the other), suitable for younger students the final image is composed of 16 strips (8 strips for one Summer image and 8 strips for the other) I have also included blank templates for students to create their own two images to combine.

This resource has five Christmas images (present, bells, candy cane, reindeer and wreath) to put together and create the agamograph. This resource has all the combination pairs (10). There are two levels of challenge; the final image is composed of 8 strips (4 strips for the hat and 4 strips for the ship), suitable for younger students the final image is composed of 16 strips (8 strips for the hat and 8 strips for the ship) I have also included blank templates for students to create their own two images to combine. This resource also has a short stopmotion video (the video preview) demonstrating the construction of the agamograph. Note: my making TES videos is still in its infancy and while the quality is not blockbuster material, it does show how the art is made.

This is a set of alphabet display letters. They are basic zentangle designs that can be printed out in their colour versions or simply print out the blank outlines for colouring in. Can be used for display titles, class mottos or messages, workstation or small group centre areas, bulletin boards, doors, walls, windows, or hallways. I find when I laminate the letters the colours are more vibrant. Approximate size 6¾ inches (17.5cm). These can be enlarged or reduced to suit. Capital letters only.
