This is work bundle about the colonization of the Native Americans by the British Empire.
We start with the Disney story of Pocahontas and try to find the real story of Pocahontas. Who is she, who is John Smith, what happened, …?
Then we continue with the colonization by the British Empire. Where did they colonize, why did colonize? What are the effects on the Native Americans?
At last we try to link the discrimination of ethnic groups with what is happening today in the world. Can we recognize discrimination of ethnic groups? Where is it happening? How is it happening?
I hope I don’t offend anyone with this work bundle. If I have, please contact me and we can discuss this.
This is just me, a teacher in Belgium, trying to raise awareness on the impact of European colonization on ethnic groups.
