A complete revision lesson covering electromagnetic waves from AQA topic P6. It is suitable for both Trilogy and single science. The lesson opens by reminding students about the order of EM waves and their properties and dangers. There are then a couple of question based activities. The lesson then looks at X-rays and radio waves in particular using exam questions to cover ideas that regularly come up on exams (dosage and communication). The lesson then moves on to required practical 21 which is investigating infrared radiation. This is covered in two ways- on concerning absorption and the other emission along with accompanying activities. The lesson closes with a reminder of the wave speed equation in the context of a ripple tank. The lesson begins with a retrieval quiz revisiting key concepts from across the Biology specification. Students are then reminded of the concept of species distribution before being introduced to the key environmental factors that influence it.
