Third lesson of four focusing on introducing pupils to artificial intelligence and the ethics around it. This lessons introduces students to the ethical debate that AI throws up focusing on how AI has changed jobs in this country and how driverless cars are programmed and where computers get their ethics from.

Third lesson in SOW looking at the main beliefs of Hinduism. This lesson looks a the festivals of Diwali and Holi. Students look at the stories behind each festival and how Hindus celebrate them today. Lessons are designed with non subject specialists in mind to be able to pick up and teach. Relevant information is on screen and task information is one screen also. Lesson includes all relevant resources ready to print. Lessons designed for KS3 but can be adapted up or down to suit ability of students.

Fifth lesson in scheme of work aimed at KS3 focusing on what philosophy is. Students will study study famous philosophers such as Socrates, Plato and Aristotle and consider how their thoughts and teachings are relevant to the modern world. Second lesson of four focusing on introducing pupils to artificial intelligence and the ethics around it. This lesson allows pupils to discover the origins of AI and highlights the influence of Alan Turing. The lesson also gets pupils to think about the limits to AI by suggesting thing that people once thought “That will never happen”

Third lesson in unit of work exploring what ethics is. Students will explore the trolley problem and a number of variation of this problem including from a vegan perspective. Nith lesson in GCSE AQA Islam beliefs paper. This lesson looks at the origins, importance and authority of the Qur’an the position it holds in the lives of Muslims. Sixth lesson for GCSE AQA Religion and life (Theme B). This lesson considers the ethic and law on abortion in the UK. Students consider arguments about pro life/pro choice and hear personal stories about abortion. Relevant video links in slides and works well with AQA textbook. Easy to adapt to other exam boards. Really good starting point if you are new to the course/some good tasks to add to your lessons if you have taught the course before

First lesson in scheme of work focusing on religion, peace and conflict. These lessons look at a number of different aspects of war including the causes, the moral aspect of going to war, pacifism, weapons of mass destruction and the just war theory. This lesson introduces students to the concept of pacifism and the influencial role in can play in warfare. The lessons take a specific look at the example of Desmond Doss and shows clips from Hacksaw ridge. This is a complete lesson that has been designed with non subject specialists in mind so that it is fairly easy to pick up and teach. Lesson includes differentiated tasks, work sheets, on screen task management board and relevant information.

Eighth lesson for GCSE AQA Christianity beliefs paper. This lesson focuses on the events after the resurrection of Jesus and the story of “Doubting Thomas” Students then summarize their learning. Lesson five in six part SOW looking and the life of Jesus. This lesson looks at the resurrection of Jesus. A full lesson that I use to introduce my year 10s to the AQA GCSE in RE. This lesson is planned for teaching Christianity and Islam however, it is easily adaptable to whichever religions/themes are taught at your school. This lesson aims to set students up for success in their GCSEs by introducing them to the course, what we will study and how it will be assessed. This is a full lesson and includes detailed keyword sheets for students to use throughout their GCSEs to get them used to using subject specific terminology. Students are made familiar with the AQA GCSE textbooks which I use regularly when teaching this course. Students are also exposed to the exams and how to do well in these. The lesson includes on screen tasks, differentiation for LAT/MAT/HAT students, printable keyword sheets and links to relevant videos.
