If you are a form tutor or are required to write a reference for your students, then this resource will really help you out!
This should help make the process of writing UCAS / Job references for your students much easier for you, whilst giving your students the opportunity to take ownership of their reference. This is especially helpful if you are a new tutor and havenât had the opportunity to learn much about your students yet, as they will tell you everything you need to know with this resource!
Oftentimes, students can be very modest with their achievements and abilities and so this resource will really help to tease out their best qualities enabling you to simply lift content from their notes into your own reference.
This is a 2 page resource which could be printed double sided. One side is for students to fill out and the other is a guide with some examples to help direct them and ensure they consider all their achievements and qualities.

Gratitude Journal - 52 prompts for a whole year
Teaching Character Education? Showing gratitude has been proven to increase long-term well-being, improve health, relationships, emotions and help us bounce back from stressful experiences.
With the significant increase in stress and anxiety among our young people, it is more important than ever that as teachers, we are catering to our studentsâ emotional needs in the classroom.
This Gratitude Journal is the ideal way to help our students focus on the good aspects of their life and to appreciate their blessings â every one of us has something to be thankful for and this journal will be sure to highlight it! The journal contains 52 prompts, one for each week of the year. Self-confidence colouring affirmation cards

Self-confidence is a fundamental factor in success and many of our youth in this day and age are lacking that self-belief they can succeed. We often hear "I can't do this", "I'm rubbish at this", "I can't do it on my own, you have to help me"...
What some teachers have tried to do is introduce positive affirmations that students are to repeat over and over again. The idea is nice, but does it really work? Does saying something make it true? Well, at best we might get a temporary high or feel motivated for a short time, but in the long term itâs less likely to have lasting effects and that's because we are actually missing a very important step.
Now picture yourself being the teacher who is able to help their student really believe these affirmations. Your students are able to believe it because you're helping them see the truth in these statements for themselves. With this pack of 10 affirmation cards, you can be that teacher. You will be giving your students some quiet reflection time where they can color in positive affirmations, but they will also be reflecting on some very significant and tailored questions that will help them prove that the affirmation they are stating is the truth. In time, you will see their self-confidence begin to flourish and success will be inevitable thanks to your guidance!
