This is a fully editable end of term / end of year assembly PowerPoint with MUSIC.
This contains a Christmas version and a version for all other times of the Year. This Awards Assembly is great for the last assembly before you finish for the festive season. It is designed to award academic excellence and to add a bit of fun to the end of the year.
The PowerPoint consists of over 40 slides with 16 award categories with award category slides left blank for you to add your own should you so wish. Following each award category slide is a âWinner isâŠâ slide where you can add a picture and insert the name of the pupil onto the admission ticket. Christianity : Christian Denominations
This is a Grab & Go Lesson! Zero prep. Perfect for KS3 & KS4 (Middle & High School)
This pack includes: PowerPoint: 34 slides Resource Booklet: 15 Sheets.
This lesson is designed to be an overview of the main Christian denominations.
The starter activity is based on our Stop the Clock activity on prior learning of Christian key words. This is a really fun activity, pupils love it!
Thinking Skills Task: There are 8 slides on the PPT that take pupils through the basics of 8 denominations. It is recommended that these be printed out and either laminated or given to pupils for this Task. Pupils must cut out the statements provided and categorise them on the placemat (Print this out as A3 to ensure that there is enough room for all of the statements)
Religious Vocabulary: Pupils have opportunity to use the Religious Studies Vocabulary Booklet to add any additional Key Words they learn during the lesson.
Homework Activity: Working in groups of three, pupils must create a teaching aid.
Plenary activity: Trump this! There are 12 cards based on the denominations studied during the lesson.
This lesson is the first in a set of seven designed to introduce pupils to the six of the major world religions. In this lesson, pupils will look at a timeline of the origins of religion, be tasked to recreate this timeline themselves (There are differentiated worksheets and a help sheet for lower ability pupils.) They will also have to colour a map of where the religions began.
There are links to 2 videos within this PPT. The second gives and overview of 5 world religions. The sixth pupils have to research for homework.

The starter activity is based on our the fidget spinner activity from last lesson and is designed to ascertain pupil understanding of last lesson's topic.
