This is a resource I use for students that require Travel Training sessions. This resources gives students the opportunity to thoroughly plan their journey via public bus.

This is an 11 page PowerPoint presentation, which can also be printed out as an information booklet. The PowerPoint gives an overview of the EDSQ qualification course. It gives a brief explanation of what the students will be learning in each unit and what assessments are needed. This is a perfect resource to use with SEN students (Entry 3 to Level 1) who need to complete an EDSQ qualification.

This resource can be used for students that require Rarpa (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement); it is linked to the 4 PfA (Preparing for Adulthood) goals/targets: Employment Skills Independent Living Skills Friends, Relationships and Community Skills Good Health Skills This resource is a basic year plan for tutorials for the academic year 2025 - 2026, to cover the Rarpa Preparing for Adulthood goals. The year plan covers the 6 half terms and includes a mindfulness/relaxation term for wellbeing.

Art and Design Curriculum Year Plan (I create a year plan first, to plan my year out before completing my Scheme of Learning). I like how you can see the whole year on one page :) The Year Plan can be put at the front of each students’ folder and the student can see where they’re up to too, ideal for SEN students who like to know what’s coming next! This Year Plan is for the academic year 2023-2024 and is easily adapted to suit your curriculum needs. The art curriculum incorporates a broad art curriculum of drawing, painting, collage, photography, sculpture and printing. It includes Equality & Diversity (E&D) opportunities and functional skills; as well as embedded NOCN Art course criteria (Art Appreciation, Painting, Drawing etc.) Suitable for Entry Level 1 to Level 2 students.

This is a resource I use with students completing a Functional Skills - English/Literacy course. It is a Speaking and Listening task, where students have to partake in a group discussion lasting 10 minutes. The group discussion is about favourite foods. This resource could be used for SEN students, to support them with the Speaking and listening course criteria.

This is an Initial Assessment that I use with SEN students who require Travel Training sessions. The student fills in the assessment to gauge what the students are/are not confident with in regards to travelling on public transport (buses and the Metro or Tube). This information can then be used to inform Travel Training session content. I usually get the students to redo the assessment later in the year to determine the progress made. Easily adapted from Metro to Tube if needed.

This is a resource I use with SEN students who require Travel Training sessions. It is a road safety self assessment that I get my students to complete when using road safety in the local community. It covers road safety when walking and using crossings.

This is a 1 page resource that includes an Art rubric that can be used as a self assessment by students completing an art course. It is easily adaptable to suit whatever art criteria you need. I used it with my students with Autism who were completing Art NOCN (National Open College Network) courses. It is a good way for students to visually see how they are progressing throughout their Art course and what criteria is still left to achieve.

I use this resource with students that require Travel Training sessions. This is a short road safety quiz, with statistical information provided by the World Health Organisation about road traffic injuries in youths. It also provides information on how to cross the road safely.

This resource can be used for students studying Film or Media Studies. This 5 page resource explains the purpose of film trailers, their conventions and structure. And there are 2 pages of targeted questions for students to answer, after they have watched a film/movie trailer.

I use this ICT/Computing resource as a short extension task during ICT sessions or for students studying EDSQ (Essential Digital Skills Qualification). It could also be used as a quick assessment after completing lessons related to computer abbreviations. Ideal for students Entry Level 3+ Students are to name the common ICT abbreviations.

This resource can be used for students studying Gaming, Media Studies or Creative iMedia. This is just a 1 page resource that encourages students to design a poster for their favourite video game. This resource can be used as an extension task, for substitute teaching or as a fun task for Functional Skills English/Literacy (persuasive text). Suitable for SEN students or Entry Level 3+

I use this resource for students that require Travel Training sessions. I use this resource in conjunction with the EHCP Goal Evidence Log sheet, where tutors or learning support assistants can write a witness statement when students have made progress towards their Travel Training related EHCP goal.
