I am currently head of mathematics at a secondary school in the United Kingdom and have created resources to help support other teachers with planning. I have worked at a range of schools serving the most disadvantaged pupils in the North of England whilst also working in some of the most affluent and the resources I have created have been used in all schools.

This is a game (over two lessons) to help students develop proof writing for circle theorems. This is beneficial mid-way through teaching circle theorems as you will see a big difference in proof writing after they have been able to analyse their own proof writing and that of others in this engaging activity. Information is detailed in the main PowerPoint. I have done this activity in setted groups and mixed ability groups ranging from grades 4 to 9 and seen the same impact across both which is confidence in writing proofs and a strength in their circle theorem knowledge. This is for the first three circle theorems: Angle at the centre circle theorem Angles in the same segment circle theorem Angle in a semi circle theorem
