This is a two-part lesson on floods. The first lesson focuses on the causes of floods and their effects and the second lesson looks at flood management. The lesson is suited for both KS3 (year 9 group) and GCSE. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is a lesson on the description and formation of salt pans, sand dunes and oasis in a hot desert. It is prepared for year 9 but can easily be used for a GCSE lesson. The reading resources and video clips needed are all included on the ppt. Activities include sequencing the formation of each landform and creating diagrams to show these.
This is a KS3 / KS2 lesson on using map scales. As with most map skills lesson this is a practical lesson which will engage students at any level. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is a GCSE lesson on sustainable management of tropical rainforests. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is a GCSE lesson on top down and bottom up development strategies. Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The lesson explores the differences between top down and bottom up development projects.

This is an A level lesson on the carbon cycle. Key facts about the lesson are:
The content covered by the lesson are; the carbon cycle as a system, processes in the carbon cycle (eg sequestration, combustion, decomposition, respiration etc), the fluxes and stores of the carbon cycle, factors that affect carbon storage in the cycle (eg. Industrialisation, deforestation, sedimentation etc).

This is an GCSE lesson on biomes. It is suitable for all specification but specifically designed for the Edexcel B specs. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is an introduction lesson to coastal studies. It’s ideal for the first lesson of the term with a KS3 or GCSE group (low ability in particular). Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The lesson covers the definition and identification of key features at the coast. It also covers examples of human uses of the coast and why it is important to learn about coasts in geography.

The lesson is suitable for different specifications but was planned for Edexcel B. Answers are included with some of the tasks which should aid self assessment. There are also exam style questions included.
This is a assessment for a rivers unit at KS3. The test assesses students understanding of the features in the upper, middle and lower courses of the river. It also assesses students understanding of landforms created by the river as well as flood defences used by some rivers. There are 11 questions on the paper and the paper is modeled off the GCSE geography exam papers. The paper uses command words familiar with a GCSE paper. There is also a range of questions in terms of difficulty and skills needed similar to a GCSE paper.
A lesson exploring the nature and role TNCs play in our world today. A lesson that allows students to use geographic skills such as map skills to display and explain the impact TNCs have on local communities. All the resources needed to deliver the lesson is included. Just teach!
