Made for OCR ALevel Specification but can be used for any ALevel/ GCSE spec with minor tweaks- very detailed. These powerpoints and accompanying resources are all you need to teach/ learn the Causes of the October revolution in great depth I have even included an analysis section at the end to help with essay planning with arguments for each factor. Complete resources will be about 5-6 hours of teaching plus hwk. My resources are perfect for new teachers to Russia or students wanting highest grades- very detailed with all knowledge included. You can use for flipped learning or print out some slides and distribute in groups e.g get some to read about the July Days and other the April Theses/ Lenin’s role etc.

This lesson and the resources which go with it are designed to do an astute analytical comparison of the US and UK Supreme Courts which will help students to prepare and write 12 mark questions. This is the final lesson in my Supreme Court topic for the Edexcel Politics ALevel comparative government US and UK (3A- Topic 5) Includes a detailed powerpoint with different activities including a colour code to distinguish features of SCOTUS./ SCOTUK or both Also notes which can be printed out and given to students to work independently. Personally I like to give the colourcode as a starter/ revision activity then go through the correct answers- then get students to use this and the comparative document to fill in as much of their A3 grid as they can (I print it A3 AND double sided as there is a lot to write in some areas). Then we go through the slides as a class to add notes in all areas before setting them the Comparative 12 mark Questions. This usually takes me a 2 hour lesson (double) but can be split into 2 one hours. Also includes practice 30 mark essays on key debates on the SCOTUS for students to plan blank versions and some partially modelled

Alevel Russia 1894-1941 OCR but can be used for any spec with Lenin. Very detailed resources on the effects of War Communism, impact and opposition to the Bolsheviks and the reasons why NEP was introduced, what the NEP was and successes and failures of the NEP as well as impact on the Bolsheviks includes Decree on Party Unity and hints about how Stalin used this later on. All resources are included, does not require any textbook/ additional worksheets. Also includes an example 10 mark Question about why NEP was introduced- Kronstadt rising or famine in the countryside. Bonus content included: Video question sheet for the documentary Russian Revolution in Colour Part 2 based on Kronstradt rising Analysis continuum activity with answers: did the Bolsheviks rely on Terror to keep control (as this is the last lesson in Bolshevik control under Lenin).

Edexcel ALevel Politics spec but can be used for AQA as very similar. Lesson examining and analysing compartive Politics looking at various aspects of USA President and UK Prime Ministers including: -Role and Powers -Cabinets -Accountability to Legislatures/ Checks and balances -Styles of Government -RElationships between branches Also includes updated examples as of January 2024 including James Cleverly controversies and attempts to impeach Biden in US House due to increasing partisanship Includes little video clips to demonstrate examples or show comparisons and a full breakdown of the comparative theories for this topic. Includes a colour code to help students get used to understanding the different theories and how to apply them. Very detailed and no need for any additional resources although can be set as independent work with textbook but all info is contained within resources so no need to own the Bennett book- if you don’t have it ignore page references in the teacher notes. This lesson has a lot of resources, more than enough for 2 hours of lessons (probably 3 hours if you include video tasks) plus homework and there is a 12 mark exam question for Edexcel included.

Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden (updated to Christmas 2024) includes their aims, use of their powers and unilateral actions and successes and failures against their key aims and legacies. Includes both a blank one for students if you wanted to set independent work and a completed one for aabsent students/ to check their work afterwards. Will need blowing up to A3 as used a tiny font to get all the info onto 2 sides to make it more user friendly as a reference sheet. Have included fully editable word docs and exported pdfs in case the alignment messes up. PNGs are for illustrative purposes only.

Lesson 2 of my Socialism unit for Alevel. This lesson includes a range of resources including video clips to demonstrate the key ideas.
