KS3 Spanish: Las vacaciones translation

(0)
An activity that could be used for a treasure hunt or translation challenge group task. Ideal for end of term fun or for a ‘fizzy’ lesson. Can be adapted for various abilities. IDEAS FOR USAGE: Give one student a sentence each at random around the room – they must talk to each other to find the missing sentences and translate them into English in the correct order. Post these around the classroom or corridors (wherever you are allowed!!) for students to complete a translation treasure hunt. Adapt the sentences into a tangled translation (put some parts in English) and give them the target to get it all into one language or both languages, depending on ability level. Adapt the text into a gap fill – give them a sheet with missing words to complete and send them around to look for the answers. Play bingo – give students the whole paragraph on the board and then give them one strip each. Read the sentences out in a random order – last one standing wins. Speedy translation – in groups the students must reassemble to text and translate it correctly. You could remove the numbers if you wish.
