Aim of the game. Race your way around the
Nutritionopoly board as your favourite character.
Earn points by collecting Hearts, buying property and
answering questions. The player with the highest score wins.
Contents; Gameboard, 4 character pieces, 22 property
cards, 22 question cards with a Learning Point on.
Each player chooses a character and places on GO.
Each player starts the game with 6 hearts- 5 at 1 point and 1 worth 5 points, totaling 10 points.
On your go- roll the dice and move character forward, collecting any coins along the way but not the space where you start.
When you land on or pass GO, collect 2 tokens each time.
Properties- on your turn you can buy the property that you land on and charge rent for each person that lands on it. If you have a full set then charge double the rent.
For each property you land on, find the corresponding question card and complete to either earn extra points or allow other players to.
If you go to jail- either use your turns to roll a 6 before being released or pay 3 points to get out sooner

How to play; Once the cootie catcher is made, one player picks an image from healthy eating, water, running or sleeping, which ever they pick from these, the other player spells out, for example; H E A L T H Y E A T I N G, THEN IT WILL LAND SHOWING 4 OF THE 8 IMAGES;
These are to represent a colour, for example there is a PINK trainer and a PURPLE bed and Black berries etc.
The player then spells out the colour of the image.
This will land on 4 of the 8 images again, the player picks an image to open at this point.
The question is read out by the other player and an answer is attempted, it can be discussed in pairs if required as it all helps with exam revision.
Text books, internet, class notes can assist with the answers and revision.

Portable mud kitchen for outdoor play
This resource has been designed to encourage children to be creative, direct their own learning, have fun and spend time using and developing their skills outdoors. The wood cookies are the kitchen cooker hobs!
The aim of this resource is to enable your child to create their own unique mud kitchen that can be transported to a setting of your choice, for example; the local park, your garden, back yard, a woodland, forest, river, lake, beach, anywhere you like!
All you need to do is find an empty plastic box (cracker box)/ biscuit tin and so on as long as they are approximately the size of a shoe box, can be bigger if needed and have a lid to pop the kitchen equipment in.
Your child can have fun choosing which images to use and place onto the box, they can either cut out one of the pre designed kitchens or select images from the other pages. Choosing which images they would like as the hob/ hob buttons etc. Children could search for natural objects such as pine cones to place on and use as their buttons if they wish.
It may be a good idea to laminate before sticking or find a see through material that could be stuck around the finished box to protect from the rain and to enable to be wiped clean.
Fill the mud kitchen box with equipment such as; small measuring pans, spoons, small bowls, dishes and have fun!
This resource could also be use to support the teaching of childcare and development, the students could have a go at creating one to assist them with how a child could learn and develop from this activity- suitable for studying degrees, CACHE, AQA child development.
