This resource includes several activities around the topic horoscopes, personality/character description in Spanish and is intended for upper-intermediate and advanced students (B2+ to C2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
You will find the following activities:
- 3 pages long worksheet with 5 activities on the Spanish short film Horoscopo (available on Youtube and DailyMotion). Please keep in mind that the short film has some swear words and is therefore not suitable for students under the age of 16.
- 3 pages long fun worksheet for students to create their own weekly Horoscope (In my class each student wrote the weekly horoscope of his/her partner. Then we shared some of their fun predictions.)
- 3 pages long chart for students to fill in with the characteristics of each zodiac sign (I have used this activity to review positive and negative personality adjectives. You can ask groups to look for zodiac sign descriptions in the Internet in order to complete the chart and then let them compare and see if their descriptions are alike.)

This resource includes a set of 36 'Would you rather' cards in Spanish for intermediate and upper-intermediate students. Each card contains a question with two options to choose from. The questions do easily encourage discussions and are intended to make students talk about unexpected matters and/or stand up for an option they would not choose in a normal situation.
The resource includes teacher's notes and options on how to use this activity in class.
Keep in mind that the questions are for students who have an intermediate, upper-intermediate level of Spanish (B1-B2+, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
The questions could also be used as a communicative introduction activity so that intermediate and upper-intermediate students get to know each other better on the first day of class.

This resource is a one page long worksheet containing 13 questions around the topic sleeping habits. It can be used as a class survey but also to practice conversation in general. In addition, each question includes vocabulary and expressions related to the topic of sleeping (such as, sufrir de insomnio, dormir la mona, echarse la siesta, quedarse despierto, tener el sueño ligero o profundo, no pegar ojo, etc.) which students must identify and write down in a further exercise. It is perfect to make people think about their sleeping habits and engage in conversation. I've used it with intermediateand upper-intermediate levels of Spanish.
