Key Stage 3 Cold War Overview Lesson
A PowerPoint presentation (including resources - worksheets to be printed from the slides) that can be used to introduce / give an overview of the Cold War.
The lesson assumes no prior knowledge of the Cold War specifically, but does build on an understanding of the alliances of the Second World War and benefits from an existing (basic) understanding of capitalism vs. communism.
Has been used to teach mixed ability Key Stage 3 (year 9) class.

KS3 Empire starter/SEN worksheet
Consists of a gap fill and codebreaker activity relating to British rule in Australia and Ireland, used for Key Stage 3 History classes.
This can be a useful settling activity for classes or pupils who struggle with transitions. It can also be a revision worksheet for assessments or a homework task.
