Worksheet to re-inforce formation of the near future tense. Pupils translate sentences then using the help sheet (page 2) write some sentences of their own using the near future tense. Compliments lesson of same title.

Written task linked to the topic of food and drink which allows pupils to use both the present and preterite tenses together. Compliments lesson 'Qué comiste y bebiste ayer?'. Nice little homework task or could be used as a starter / plenary. Can also provide opportunity for peer assessment.

Lesson aimed at top set Y10 but can easily be adapted. Lesson looking at different accommodation types and using the preterite and imperfect tenses together. Potential for at least 2 lessons worth of content. C easily build in more whole class questioning, whiteboard recall and retrieval practice. Prior learning: preterite tense formation; imperfect tense formation; holiday vocabulary (countries, transport, activities). Pupils had already written an extended description of a past holiday (90 words) which they go back to this lesson and improve with a more detailed description of accomodation. Starter: Gap fill - preterite tense text about a past holiday with key verbs removed. Pupils have to fill in the missing verbs then find the two mistakes - 2 of the verbs should be in the imperfect. Lesson to re-cap clothes. Originally created for Y9 group but could easily be adapted for other classes. A variety of activities including match up / translations / re-inforcement of indefinite and definite article / present tense of AR verbs (llevar) / translation game and homework activity.

Follow on lesson to sports which re-caps time and helps pupils to consolidate the use of JUGAR and HACER with sports. Also looks at describing what others do using the third person singular.

Game to consolidate prepositions. Teacher hides a number of raffle tickets around the classroom and pupils must try to find them according to the clues. Can be made into a group game whereby groups of pupils compete to find a set number of tickets (in different places).

Lesson which looks at types of films and giving opinions about which films pupils like and dislike. Variety of activities including: match up group activity / quiz / writing activity / worksheet / giving opinions / justifying opinions and sentence structure reinforced.

Foundation Y8 French lesson recapping weather (lesson 1) and then moving on to say what you do in good and bad weather (lesson 2). Follows the Studio 2 Foundation book Module 1: T’est Branché - Unit 5. Print out vocab lists included on hidden slides that wont show up during the presentation but can be printed off in advance of the lesson. Optional writing frame (depending on ability) for the final task. Can be easily adapted for more able or lower ability as necessary.
