Two lessons with teaching slides, scaffolding and activities linked to outcomes for Year 4 RED: Branch 4 Desert to Garden.
Also included is a branch cover page, vocabulary checkpoint and knowledge tree to assess learning at the beginning of this topic.
The lessons are planned to run as part of one worship morning but can be taught separately. Outcomes include retelling the story of the prodigal son, naming and describing the corporal works of mercy and making links with the Parable of the Judgement of Nations
A complete week of lessons for the RED framework linked to learning outcomes around the Jesse Tree. Included in this package is the sequence planning for eight lessons in total, teaching slides for these two lessons, scaffolding and support.
There are summaries of the stories for Day 1 to Day 28, drawing tools to support learners to create their own symbols for the Jesse Tree, templates for drawing, a copy of the Nicene Creed and relevant scripture linked to Jesus’ family tree as well as a link to scripture chapter and verses for learners to research the stories independently.
