A resource on Asterix and Obelix with many extension and differentiation options that you can adapt to your classes.
Research, translation, writing and grammar activities.
Can be used as holiday work, homework, project or end-of-year activity.
This is a worksheet I use at the start of the year with Year 7, 8 or 9 to introduce them to the French school system (how many lessons a day do French students have? Why are there different holiday “Zones” in the winter? Do students bring their pack lunch? What are years called in French? etc.
You can either use it in class or as a research homework.
This resource on University or Work? (11.1 Foundation and Higher AQA) contains:
a lotto/memory game with vocab from the AQA lists and added extension words. Words are already mixed so students can either find the pairs in the table or you can cut each card and use it as a game.
a translation task using the words: ask the students to fold the paper (concertina fold with the column Read at the front), they read the sentence out loud, turn the page and write the translation in French, check their sentence with the third column and translate it again into French in the fourth column.
