This is the first booklet in a series of short induction topics for EAL new arrivals with varying degrees of English-language proficiency. This booklet allows you to teach some self-descriptive basics and then assess how well a student has absorbed and can use the language here. over two lessons. The vocabulary is included at the back of the booklet and contains basic feelings, hair, eyes, height, am, is, etc. EAL staff will already need to know how to assess by the new DFE codes of competency and steps. There are extra resources at the end of the power point for you to print off and give to your students to help them ‘next step’ their revision. These are best used with the Edexcel 9-1 GCSE Spanish Revision Guide. Needs to be used with the Summer 2018 Listening F exam paper and the sound files (obviously).
