This investigate explores surface tension. Surface tension is a property of liquids that describes the attraction of liquid particles at the surface; the strong attraction of particles at the surface of a liquid creates a surface “film.”
The students will use three drops of food colouring and drop these gently onto the surface of a shallow dish of milk and then add a drop of dish detergent.
