Punctuation Veggie Patch display ( English National Curriculum)

These colourful fruit and vegetables are great for displaying the punctuation covered in each year group in the English national curriculum. Hang them on a washing line, or make a punctuation patch display in your classroom, so that teachers and children are aware of what punctuation they learn in each year. These are extremely useful for referring to in lessons to remind children of their prior learning and year group expectations for punctuation.

Reading Scrapbook front cover and instructions sheet

A fabulous way to develop reading for pleasure in your class! Use these eye-catching front covers and instruction sheets to set up a Reading Scrapbook for your class. Each week a child takes the scrapbook home and designs a page all about a book they have enjoyed. They then return the scrapbook to school a week later and present their scrapbook page to the class. We found this a really effective way to encourage book talk. It is useful if you can send home an equipment wallet with colouring pencils, glue and scissors. There are lots of examples online of reading scrapbooks if you want to get some inspiration.
