I have created some fun, light activities for my year 1 children’s first week back to school. They include some maths resources and phonics activities alongside some fun, well-being activities aimed at getting the children into school life. They can be edited and adapted as you wish!

I have resourced some activities that allow year 1 to develop their number knowledge and place value of numbers up to 100. The activities are differentiated and colour coded: B tasks (basic skills needed in red), A tasks (advancing/applying skills in orange) and D tasks (deep understanding in green). These are planned alongside the White Rose Scheme. I have also uploaded the pre/post assessment to match as a separate document, so these work alongside the resources.

Pre/Post Assessments for Year 1 Maths units including weight/volume, money, time, position and direction (geometry), 2D shapes (geometry), fractions (of shapes) and fractions (of amounts). Most content runs directly alongside White Rose. The sections start with the basic skills needed for that unit, then advancing/applying skills and then deeper understanding.
