Circuits - Potential Difference (P.D.) and Current, model circuits
A presentation to accompany a lesson on P.D. and current in the context of model circuits. Includes starter/settler, learning outcomes, notes on P.D. and current, an example model circuit to explain concepts to pupils, instructions for an investigation into PD and current in a circuit and plenary questions. Add in an activity with pupils modelling circuits and its pretty much a full lesson.

Series and Parallel circuits lesson
A complete lesson aimed at KS3 classes on series and parallel circuits. Includes: starter/settler, learning outcomes, notes on parallel and series circuits, activity looking at current in different circuits, investigation plan into different circuits and review and plenary questions.

Pressure and pressure calculations
A lesson including learning outcomes, notes on pressure, practice calculations on pressure, practical calculations on rearranging the pressure formula and plenary questions.

Moments
Complete lesson introducing moments and related calculations. Includes learning outcomes, starter, notes and example calculations, practice calculations for pupils and an extended literacy/numeracy task for a plenary.

Light and colour
Presentation including learning outcomes, notes and an activity to assess progress on the topic of light and colour.

Magnets - first lesson
A presentation including learning outcomes, notes, a practical investigation into magnets and plenary questions suitable for a first lesson.
Bundle

Electricity and Circuits
A series of lessons aimed at KS3 classes covering the basics of electricity and circuits. Lessons include:
Circuits and circuit symbols
P.D. and current in circuits
Resistance in Circuits
Series and Parallel circuits
Power and Energy
Static Electricity

Resistance in circuits lesson
A complete lesson on resistance in circuits including: a starter/settler, learning outcomes, investigation into resistance activity (use a simple circuit with a bulb, cell, ammeter, voltmeter), calculation practice for calculating resistance and plenary questions

Collisions and Momentum - Bouncing Balls - Complete Lesson and Plan
A complete lesson investigating collisions, conservation of momentum and conservation of energy including bouncing balls practicals and calculations. Complete presentation and lesson plan included.

Efficiency Lesson PowerPoint
A presentation including: learning outcomes; notes on how to calculate efficiency; practice calculations and summary questions from exams. Not quite a full lesson.

Energy Transfers and Efficiency Lesson
A PowerPoint on energy transfers and efficiency including example calculations and some calculations for pupils to practice with.

Choosing Renewable Resources Lesson
A (near) complete lesson on renewable resources. Pupils will write a letter to their MP advocating a solution to electricity supply to a town. Lesson includes: a full presentation and learning outcomes; a complete lesson plan; differentiated task sheets; information on the town for pupils to use in their decision, Quiz Quiz Trade cards for renewable energy. I also used a circus activity available on TES for pupils to research with, but ran short on time.

Renewable Resources Quiz Quiz Trade - Kagan Activity
30 quiz quiz trade cards for the kagan activity. Pupils pair up, test each other on their questions, swap questions and move on to pair up with another pupil.

Convection - Literacy focus lesson
A complete presentation for a lesson on convection, including learning outcomes, review questions with answers and an open ended literacy task. Literacy task has a help sheet for lower ability pupils to scaffold an answer and includes a peer assessment sheet for pupils to mark each other's work.

Investigating Insulators - Lesson and help sheets
A complete lesson plan and presentation detailing a complete lesson to investigate the effectiveness of different insulators. Includes a checklists for method, results, risk assessment, variables and equipment and a results table for lower ability pupils . Requires hot water, beakers/cans and different methods of insulation to investigate.

Melting and freezing lesson
A complete presentation and lesson to investigate melting points of ice. Pupils investigate the temperature change of ice melting and plot a graph to use to identify melt points.

Speed and distance-time graph Lesson - Introduction and calculations
A lesson including starter/settler, learning outcomes, introduction notes on speed, activities calculating speed and manipulating the formula, activities for pupils to practice knowledge of distance times graphs and plenary questions

The National Grid Lesson - AQA GCSE
A lesson on the National Grid and its structure for foundation tier GCSE pupils.
The lesson includes:
Learning outcomes and keywords
Notes on AC vs DC and mains electricity
Notes on the structure of the national grid and transformers
Quick review questions
Extended answer on power cable usage in the national grid. This is designed to set pupils up for success by discussion potential reasons first, then allowing pupils to write and structure their answer. Includes a mark scheme for the question.

Resultant and Parallelogram of Forces - GCSE Physics
A presentation on resultant forces and how to use a parallelogram of forces to calculate a resultant force. The presentation includes:
Learning Outcomes
Slides to deliver the principles of resultant forces
A short exam question on resultant forces
Instructions for pupils on how to construct a parallelogram of forces including:
- Steps for success
- Slides detailing how to carry this out
- A worked example video demonstrating how to use a protractor correctly to measure the resultant force
Practice questions for pupils to practice the use of the parallelogram of forces
