A fun, foldable cut-and-paste activity for exploring the life cycle of a spider. This hands-on resource is a combination of a craft and a science worksheet that you could use for a bugs, arachnids, autumn or Halloween activity. Some teachers have even linked it to the book Charlotte’s Web. The template options There are 4 options so you can select and print the one that best suits your needs and differentiate for your class if required: Template 1: Pupils colour the template and life cycle pictures, match the word or description labels to the images, glue, cut, and fold. This reflection activity is a fun way to share thoughts and memories from a school trip or off-site visit. Pupils will write responses to the prompts on their template before cutting and folding (you can amend any of the prompts). They’ll love opening their foldout to show their writing inside. A hands-on alternative to a worksheet! This versatile template is not specific to a particular type of field trip so you can use it following a visit to a museum, zoo, nature reserve, gallery, historic site and more. The templates There are different options so you can choose the combination that best suits your learners. Coach: The coach picture is included in colour and in black and white. Teach the stages of fossilisation at KS2 with this folding ammonite craft and sequecing cards. Ammonites were pre-historic sea creatures with tentacles and a spiral shell. Their fossils can be found all over the world in many different types of sedimentary rock! These activities are designed to complement the KS2 science curriculum and is a fun alternative to a standard fossils worksheet. From December 1st, use this festive digital advent calendar to count down to Christmas. A fun addition to your daily December routine! This resource is included as an editable PowerPoint and Google Slides document so you can use the one you prefer. The PowerPoint file has more options for slide transition (especially sound) but otherwise, both files are the same. How does it work? There are 24 slides (one for each day of the month up to 24th December). A fixed background is included for each slide, and you can add your own text and/or extra images for each day. You could include some mental or physical warm-ups, festive jokes, mindfulness activities, motivational quotes… the choice is yours. When you’ve filled in your slides, switch to present mode and click one of the numbered days on slide 1. The link will take you to the corresponding slide.
