The Scottish War of Independence: Battle of Stirling Bridge Blockbusters

(0)
Revise the Battle of Stirling Bridge using an adapted version of the old British TV gameshow Blockbusters. Split the group into two - the green team and the yellow team. The aim is for each team to complete a chain of hexagons linking their two sides of the board. They can go in any direction (straight, diagonal, meandering), block the opposition etc… To use the game: Put the PowerPoint into presentation mode. Click on a letter in a square on the left hand side. The corresponding clue will come up at the bottom of the screen. If the team answers correctly, click on the corresponding hexagon on the main board until it turns the colour of the team who provided the right answer. Decide whether you want to pass questions over or not. It usually takes 25-30mins to complete the game, as there are a couple of intentionally tricky questions. Answers have been included on the second slide.
