Revise the Battle of Stirling Bridge using an adapted version of the old British TV gameshow Blockbusters.
Split the group into two - the green team and the yellow team. The aim is for each team to complete a chain of hexagons linking their two sides of the board. They can go in any direction (straight, diagonal, meandering), block the opposition etc…
To use the game:
- Put the PowerPoint into presentation mode.
- Click on a letter in a square on the left hand side.
- The corresponding clue will come up at the bottom of the screen.
- If the team answers correctly, click on the corresponding hexagon on the main board until it turns the colour of the team who provided the right answer.
- Decide whether you want to pass questions over or not.
It usually takes 25-30mins to complete the game, as there are a couple of intentionally tricky questions.
Answers have been included on the second slide.
