Four lessons created on keynote with opportunities to work on ipads as well as a cut and stick in books. Covers the national curriculum objectives for materials in year 1.

A Unit of work including flipcharts, vocabulary, WAGOLL and scaffolds and worksheets for the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’ by Axel Scheffler. Aimed at year 1 children, there are opportunities to revisit prior learning- e.g. tricky words, real and alien words, plurals etc, as well as looking at new learning for the features of writing a diary- first person, present tense. The two main outcomes are to write a diary entry and to sequence the story. There are elements of talk for writing opportunities as well as modelled examples of work following the ‘my turn, our turn, your turn approach’. Also built into slides is a page to develop handwriting.

A week’s worth of whole class reading for the Smartest Giant in Town for year 2. Focusing only on the retrieval domain. All activities are differentiated.

Two week’s worth of resources for whole class reading for year 2 based on ‘The Bear and the Piano’. Covers all reading domains. Activinspire and publisher needed to use the files. All lessons are differentiated at least twice.

Two week’s worth of whole class reading based around Fantastic Mr Fox aimed at year 2. Each activity is differentiated (usually three ways) and a range of domains are covered. You will need to have activinspire and publisher to use this resource.

Whole class guided reading flipchart and activities based on the story ‘Traction Man’. Comes with exerts and differentiated activities. Covers a range of reading skills- inference, prediction and retrieval.

A week long flipchart and resources to be used as a whole class read for year 1 based on the book ‘Where the wild things are’. Covers the domains- inference, sequencing, retrieval, prediction, vocabulary. Only open if you have publisher and activinspire otherwise it wont work. Activities are differentiated.

As part of our Wind in the Willows topic we looked at adding the plurals s and es. I cut up items of food and hid them around the classroom to find, saying that Ratty had lost the food from his picnic. I then told the children that Ratty wanted to have a picnic with his friends but he needed a shopping list of what to get. We received a letter from Ratty who explained the rules and watched a video on plurals and recapped. The children were to use their word mat (with pictures) to write a list of how many of each thing they needed. LA children needed to add s or es to words on their sheet. MA had words where no change to the root word was needed e.g. sandwich- 4 sandwiches. I threw in jelly for the HA and we had a chat about changing the y to an i before adding es. There was then a challenge on the board for children to complete. The children wrote their list on notepad paper.

The first lesson for block 1 Spring 1 following the White Rose scheme. Due to the aility levels in my class the first lesson comprises of a warm up where ‘Beaky’ has jumbled up the numerals and words counting to 20 and the children have to move them around so that they are correct. I have then focused the first lesson solely on counting by adding on using the pictures for ‘first’, ‘then’ and ‘now’. This is the only part of the varied fluency included in this pack. The activities are differentiated. LA are to just fill in the sentences using the pictures with colour coordinated words. MA have higher numbers and have to complete the the ‘now’ picture (and in my class will have support) and HA are to complete independently without the colour coordinated words as a clue. I have then included two reasoning questions. I know that there are often problems when opening up a publisher document so I have also included the PDF. I hope it saves you time!

Children are to solve the four fact families by working out what number the emojis could represent.

I have created these for the phonics activity during my guided reading carousel sessions for my year 1 class. There is one word sort for ch and sh words for my children still working on set 1 and an ar and ow sort for those who are revising set 2.

A presentation and resources to last over 9 sessions for the story ‘The Lion Inside’. Each lesson is linked to one of the reading domains. The activities are differentiated and aimed at year 1. You do need activinspire to access these resources.

An active inspire flipchart and differentiated activities accompany whole class guided for year 1 based around the story ‘Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book’. The pack comes with differentiated extracts from the story as well as differentiated follow up activities. All are linked to the VIPERS and reading domains. This will only work if you have active inspire downloaded as the presentation is on a flipchart NOT powerpoint.

A lesson plan, flipchart and resources for 2-3 weeks whole class guided reading using the book ‘My Friend the Weather Monster’ depending on how often you do whole class guided reading. The planning and flipchart is linked to the Vipers and domains for teaching guided reading. This will only work if you have active inspire already downloaded as it is a flipchart NOT a powerpoint.

A plan and resources following the new RE curriculum for year 1 on celebrations. The pack contains a six week plan following the new national curriculum guidelines. The plan looks at celebrations- the celebrations the children may have been to, achievements, Jewish Passover, Eid, Christian wedding ceremonies and special places. The pack contains a powerpoint presentation to go with the plan along with activities for each lesson.

A range of different resources created to get year 3 children to write persuasively. Resources include starters, main group activities and a powerpoint. Gets children thinking about what a good advert looks like and what techniques we can use in persuasive writing. The overall aim of the unit of work was to be able to sell products to ‘dragons den’. The children were asked to design their own tea and to persuade the rest of the class to buy it. This can be linked to DT as the children then can design and make their product.

A resource created to teach year 1 children about handling data and creating tally charts. Children were told that we are going on a trip to the jungle and that in their packs there were some animals that needed to be released back into the wild. The first activity was to sort the animals (this was the whole session for my LA children), they then used the animal pictures to complete the tally chart (a discussion happened here to recap what a tally chart is and what to do when we count five of something). Afterwards the children were to answer the questions about their tally chart. As a next step or reasoning question the children were asked to write their own question to ask someone about the tally chart, there was a frame to support children in this.

A lesson which has been differentiated three ways to teach year 1 children about symmetry. The pack includes a powerpoint, a plan, three different differentiated activities and next steps for the year 1 children to complete.
