An interactive lesson for teaching 11-14s on the weapons of WW1. Students make their own Top Trump cards about 7 weapons (ranging from tanks, rifles and zeppelins), using the differentiated information sheets! All worksheets are provided - including the information sheets and the template for the Top Trumps. I printed the Top Trump templates onto cards and students were then able to play them in lesson, and take them home to share with family! This lesson includes: Examples for all 3 questions on the Cold War paper, including model answers which are broken down to show how to answer them and what the examiner is looking for (I marked for this paper last year). Whole lesson plus resources for teaching the Holocaust. This lesson looks at the work of Sir Nicholas Winton - the Holocaust hero who saved 669 Jewish children. The lesson starts with a ‘guess the story’ and a reveal of Nicholas Winton. The video shows Nicholas Winton on ‘this is your life’ and the audience are revealed to the be children he saved. I guarantee the class will be crying!! Students absolutely love this lesson and find his story incredibly touching. A wonderful ‘happy story’ of the Holocaust.
