This resource includes a storyboard and diary writing activity to describe the Battle of Hastings. Most illustrations are taken from the Bayeux Tapestry. There is an ordering and summarising activity to complete a storyboard which explains the background to the battle as well as the main events. The diary writing is from the point of view of one of Harold’s soldiers and includes a ‘feelings graph’ as well as a cloze activity and sentence starters.
