This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Romeo and Juliet. They each display quotes that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This one is of Benvolio. I have recently updated the file to a digital version. This means you now receive the original poster in both pdf and jpeg formats, along with three other versions: traits-only, picture only and quotes-only. Suggested uses: Ask students to expand on the comments and link each one to a given theme; Display the traits-only poster and ask students to find evidence to support each one; Display the quotes-only poster and ask students to come up with the trait each one exemplifies; Ask students to come up with their own version for a character; Print out in A5, along with the other characters in this series, and produce individual revision booklets for students; Print out in A4 or A3 and use for display boards. This one is of Bob Cratchit & Tiny Tim. Your download includes five separate files: the complete poster as a jpeg and as a PDF, a picture-only version, and versions showing just the quotes with the picture, or just the traits with the picture. The traits (in red) serve as the point in a PEE/PEAS/PETER type response. SUGGESTED USES Ask students to expand on each of the comments and link them to given themes; Do the above but as a walk-around activity, with each character poster stuck on a large blank sheet and placed on separate tables. This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Frankenstein. They each display quotes that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This one is of Captain Robert Walton. This particular poster is uploaded as a free resource so that you can test how useful it is to you. The other posters in the series are £2 each. I printed some out in A4 for my students but they look pretty good in A3 as eye-catching wall displays. You could also create individual revision booklets by reproducing these posters in A5. The posters can be used in a number of different ways. I often ask students to link each of the quotes or comments to a theme and then to explain why the quote is significant. You could also blank out some of the text (digitally on Powerpoint with shapes covering what you don’t want them to see, or the old-fashioned way with correction fluid and a photocopier.) and ask them to fill in the blanks. The posters can also serve as inspiration for students to make their own posters, based on other characters and/or other texts.
