A resource aimed at KS3, following the Berkshire SACRE agreed syllabus. This resource has been created with an enquiry based approach to learning in mind, following Quality First Teaching principles. Each slide consists of some core content, as well as either a choice of task or differentiated activity. There is also a ‘take it further’ style task on every slide to stretch more able learners. There is a greater focus on independent enquiry based on stimuli rather than detail of content. This resource is ideal for Year 7, introducing core religious and philosophical skills such as critical thinking, whilst offering an engaging experience for young minds. This lesson focuses on a couple of stories from Abraham’s life where he challenged belief in idols in favour of belief in monotheism.
