This bundle covers a scheme of learning that I teach to Year 7, introducing Judaism through the life of Abraham. These resources are aimed at KS3, following the Berkshire SACRE agreed syllabus. The lessons have been created with an enquiry based approach to learning in mind, following Quality First Teaching principles. It allows students to explore Jewish beliefs in the nature of God, as well as the life of prophet Abraham. Each slide consists of some core content, as well as either a choice of task or differentiated activity. There is also a ‘take it further’ style task on every slide to stretch more able learners. There is a greater focus on independent enquiry based on stimuli rather than great detail of content. This resource introduces core religious and philosophical skills such as critical thinking, whilst offering an engaging experience for young minds. The main of the scheme of learning is to introduce students to key concepts relevant at GCSE, such as the nature of God, prophethood and worship and prioritises embedding these concepts over deep content about Judaism.
