Series 1 – Mindful Moments with Miss Harrison
Theme: Introducing Mindfulness, Feelings, and Self-Care
In Series 1, children are introduced to the foundations of emotional awareness and mindfulness. Each episode gently supports pupils in recognising their feelings, understanding where emotions come from, and learning how to respond with calmness and care.
Designed especially for younger children or those new to mindfulness, this series provides a warm, engaging entry point into self-regulation and emotional wellbeing.
Episode 1: What Is a Feeling?
Children explore the idea that everyone has feelings and begin to recognise basic emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, and worry.
Episode 2: Where Do Feelings Live?
This episode helps pupils identify how different emotions show up in the body—like butterflies in the tummy or a tight chest.
Episode 3: My Safe Place
Children are guided to imagine a calm, comforting place they can return to in their minds when they feel worried or upset.
Episode 4: My Breathing Tool
Pupils learn a simple, powerful breathing technique to help calm their bodies and minds in moments of stress.
Episode 5: Being Kind to Myself
This episode introduces positive self-talk, showing children how to treat themselves with the same kindness they offer to others.
Episode 6: My Mindful Jar
In the final episode, children use the image of a glitter jar to understand how thoughts and feelings can settle with stillness and time.
Series 1 is ideal for Early Years and KS1 settings, as well as nurture groups or children new to mindfulness. It gently builds emotional vocabulary, body awareness, and practical calming skills in a way that feels safe, playful, and empowering.
